Li Wei, male, Han nationality, is a native of Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. He was born in 1958, entered the work force in 1975, and graduated from Department of Chinese Literature of Nanjing University with a Bachelor Degree in 1982. From 2008 to 2010, He was Deputy Secretary General of CPC Central Committee Publicity Department, Executive Vice Dean of All-China Publicity Cadres College. From 2010 to 2013 he was deputy director of the State Administration of Radio Film and Television. In 2013 he became Deputy Director of the State General Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. Since May 2013, he is Member of CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Standing Committee.
